As always, at 10Am , my dad the great CETian Mathew alias rajamanikkam started scratching me to get out of bed. But , as usual I was happy to ignore his request ( rather nuisance ) and tried again for a sound Friday morning lazy sleep.
But, after his offer of a day out, I forced myself to reach my most favorite place in the house - the toilet. Spent around one hour doing the morning exercises there and came out at around 12 for the brunch. My cute younger one ( Ammu ) was enjoying some funny cartoons in the sofa and laughing like a cartoon.
After my parent’s so called low carb lunch ( as per them I am overweight at 55 , I think they don’t know Jacob uncle’s Diana chichi’s weight !!! ) , we got out of home and my dad’s 2BR apartment on wheels (Dodge Durango) roared towards Festival City aiming to reach Hyper Panda to search for some T shirts for me and mom which one of my mom’s friend told , cheaply available there.
We had a boring time at the Plug Inns while my mom was busy browsing some lady’s items and dad was listening to the lecture of the TV sales man ( or the other way !! ), and Ammu was again deeply enjoying some cartoon in the display TV’s.
So, finally, after giving an impression to the sales guys to buy things worth a million, we said goodbye to them after buying some gadget for 89 bucks.
Again the Hyper Panda was on the second floor and due to parent’s policy of stair climbing, I also climbed the stairs looking at the people on the escalators.
Hyper Panda visit was a good one as the dieticians allowed us to have some coke and sprites with a heavy warning that we won’t demand this junk stuff for next one year!!
It was around 5 O clock , when we decided to visit the IKEA. We stuffed all things in the storage lockers and started exploring IKEA. It was so marvelous to see the sausages rolling in the hot oven near the entrance and mom was telling this is the exit and we need to go upstairs and then come back to the exit area. Luckily, my dad couldn’t find a stair so we got the opportunity to go in the escalator. As, Ammu also had seen the sausages, she wanted to finish and exit as quick as possible. Still she was enjoying the furnitures, paintings, soft toys etc. Then she saw a bag full with soft mice toys. Dad bought her two mice saying that it is the town mouse and village mouse which was in one of her recent bedtime story book.s. She was so happy to get them.
We came out and they didn’t refuse to buy us the hot sausages as dad & mom considered it healthy as it is no carb food. Thank god. I had an extra half as Ammu couldn’t eat a full one.
Then we started going to Alwyn uncle’s place in Discovery Gardens to visit them. We reached there around 7.20 and had our dinner there. Vidya aunty served Appams made from ready made mix and it seemed to be one of mom’s dish ottada. But was tasty with the egg curry. Had some good chat over there and we reached back home around 10PM.
I switched on the TV and enjoyed the Malayalam movie Pachakkuthira till 1.20 AM. I enjoyed a little bit of dad’s snoring while going to bed.
