I went to the U.S.A on 6th July 2007 to visit my uncle (chittappan), Raj Nayar (C.E.T. 1994 Computer
Science) and family who is settled in Utah, Salt Lake City. I went with my grandparents, parents and
brother. The flight was from Dubai and it was a straight flight to Atlanta. It took us more than 14 hours to
reach our destination. Then we took another flight to Utah.

In Utah, my uncle took me to the Lake and I rode his water scooter which was a very good experience.

We visited the Disneyland in California. It was very big and we had lots of fun. After a few days, we
flew to New York with my father, mother and brother. The flight took 3.1/2 hours. We were
received at the airport by Mathew Uncle who is a Cetian and a batch mate of my father. We went
with Mathew Uncle and his family, Sunitha Aunty and daughter, Ritchie to see the Niagara Falls. The
journey was 6 hours by road. We went in the water by boat and experienced the Maid of the Mist
which is the vapor rising from the Falls.

From there, we went to New Jersey to see another Cetian friend, Hari uncle who too studied with
my father. The next day, Hari uncle dropped us to catch a boat to see the Statue of Liberty. It was
very huge and we took pictures of the lady in green. We bought souvenirs from the shops under the
statue.

After that we took another boat to see the New York City. We took the subway train to see the
World Trade Centre site which made me sad thinking of the many people who died there. Then we
went to the Wall Street. Nearby was the statue of George Washington where he took the oath as the
First President of the United States of America. As we were tired we sat on the roadside and had
ice-creams to beat the heat.

Next, we walked to the Empire State Building. It was already evening and when we reached the top
we saw the beautiful sight of the city. We could see the horizon of the earth and the Statue of Liberty.

Then we took a pedicab which is a kind of cycle rickshaw which was driven by a friendly German. He
took us to the Times Square. The buildings were fully lit and were full of huge T.V. screens showing
commercials.

Then we took a taxi to the railway station and caught a train to Mathew uncle’s house. The whole
New York trip covered in one day is the most adventurous trip of my life.
