Much has been written about Dubai Metro in other forms of media, we decided to write about those who built it. As a social body which has always been in the forefront of the Emirate's development, like in any other major project, CETA has its inevitable presence in Dubai Metro too.

Rekha Prakash has beeen working with Dubai Metro for the past two years as Senior Design Engineer (Structural Design). Her role in the project involves scrutinising   the design approval, coordination of design with consultants, RTA and finally implementation at site.Being a fast paced mega project with several stake holding agencies, design documents and drawings have to be scrutinized at multiple levels and dealing with all of them is  one of her  major challenges.

Having gained vast experience during several years of her association with DelhiMetro, she was able to sail through the challenges thrown up by this project. She considers herself extremely lucky to have worked with the legendary  Metro Man Mr.E Sreedharan during her Delhi days.

Dubai Metro has been a wonderful experience to her, says Rekha especially with the multinational / multicultural workforce   offering a different perspective- personally and profesioanlly.

TS Jacob has been involved in several of the landmark projects of Dubai and other Emirates like the Dubai International Airport. As project director of Emirates Trading Agency , he is in charge of Mechanical & Electrical installations related to the Metro.

Airconditioning works, electrical installations of the Metro stations as well as tunnel ventilation of below ground are his part of the contribution to Dubai Metro.

Asst. Delay Analyst - Claims Department

JT Metro JV- Obayashi-Kajima-Yapi Merkezi

 Shyne Kurup     works  in the Dubai Metro Project as Asst. Delay Analyst in the Claims Department. he works with Dubai Rapid Link Consortium (Main Contractor) in the main office at Union Squareas part of the  Claims team along with Experts for arbitration.

Obayashi Corporation 

 Gopakumar works as Site Manager in  JT Metro JV at Marina station .
