Here’s wishing you all a very happy onam again…Funny story.. this article was written for the last years ninavu edition but I guess due to some or other reason, this article didn’t get publish . I had got a couple of good comments regarding my 1st article. Ever since that the editor had been behind me to write an article. I’ve started about 3 but haven't got anywhere (chettoz Edak remind chaydaal bakiyum ready akkarnu ;) ) .
I always used to read the articles regarding various programs of our Alumni but had just been to one ever since I got to Dubai. The second outing so happened to be CETA ONAM. I am basically a very lazy person and that too with the terrible traffic in Dubai you hardly feel like going out. But Shyam had contacted me as they needed some help in organizing and stuff like that. Being a true CETIAN (:P), I was ever too ready to help. He told me to reach there by 8 30 sharp and that he would be there and all.
When I reached there I saw that only Tenny had come. I made my introduction to him only to later realize that he is my Professor’s brother,(Mr Kuncherian Issac.) who had caught me for the dress I under-wore on Demo Week :D( Pic on my orkut profile)..He somehow wasn’t too pleased with what I was wearing On Black Day.
I started with something and am ending up somewhere else. …arrrgh….So back to our story. At the Onam get together more and more people started to come. I was asked to help with the Athapookalam which I had good experience from college. I remember this one friend called Vivek who gave us the idea of making a mud mould below and the flowers are placed on top this gives it a 3-d effect..I havent seen this thing being done
anywhere but it seems the original way was like this. The whole process is a bit messy but the results are fabulous .I was cutting the flowers, got done with it and started filling the design when 'THE ' incident happened.
Meanwhile at the Onam celebs, something important has come up and I was asked to report to the backstage and who do I see there Mr Maveli itself :p..then I look up again... its Nikhil(2k6 civil)!!...my senior from college.”Thalleee… nee maveliyooo”.. There Maveli 6’4’’ (gym body as if Maveli had seen SRK’s Om shanti Om and Amir’s Ghajini) was all dressed up and sweating like hell was crying out when his chance because I believe the make up had been on him for quite some time. Minutes later Shyam comes and tells me they need people to dress up like Puli for pulikali... and I m like WHAAAT??... I’ve done lots of crazy stuff at college... but nothing like to go in front of a family group and act bonkers. By that time Jinas also had come. Apol endayalum ottaku idhil kerandi vannila... Jinasinayum pidichi keti idilot!!:D.... anganay Shyam practically made us get dressed up into these costumes...
Tariq who came for a couple of days to Dubai became the Big Hunter(Shambu) :P.. anganay elavarum kooodi thalli stageil keti vitu...
Aviday keri kayinjapol the mask factor had a great advantage .. Endu koprayam kanichalum aarum tirichariyula ennu manasilakiyapol alamb thudangi..:D...

I guess it wasn’t all that bad also..the kids however didn’t get scared... lol... they were more after the tail... dubai pillleru shery alla...CETians inday makkal alle... enganay shery avum!!;)....
On the whole it was a great...dont know if u can call it great... a different experience ennu venengil parayam... hehe..,cos while i was invited I had never expected to end up in such a situation...Neways Thankx CETA for that expereince... Nandri... orayiram nandri :p... lolzz..
Anganay jeevidathil Puli vesham in front of family crowd kettan pati... I wonder what CET has got in store for me next :p... Christmas is coming :P... lolz”

Now that was easy just editing here and there to make the article feel 2009ish :P .. Anyways hope you all enjoyed it and congrats to Ninavu for its success .Im sure everyone must be a fan of this as it helps relive our memories of college life.
